Rhonda Maines, LCSW
I feel it is important to establish a trusting relationship between the client and therapist so the client feels comfortable speaking with the therapist. I believe every person has strengths and I look for these strengths in each of my clients. I use the strengths perspective to help people realize their strengths and learn new ones to enable them to deal with all the situations they encounter in life. I know the importance of encouraging people and how much a word of confidence can mean to someone in times of stress. I am here to help my clients navigate the stressors of life and reach a positive outcome.
I have a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Social Work from St. Leo University. I am also a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern working towards my licensure. I did my undergraduate internship at an alternative school where many of the students have faced difficult situations in life. I completed my graduate internship at hospice as a medical social worker where I learned to work with the hospice patient and their families. I have been employed by a non-profit organization working with troubled youth and their families. Having been a military wife for years I am also familiar with the military lifestyle and its unique stressors. My education and experience combined now enables me to help people going through difficult times in their lives.
Having faced many different situations in my own life I enjoy working with a large array of clients. I see clients from age 10 and up. I provide individual therapy to children or adults. I also work with families and couples. Each client is unique and I enjoy working with each one of them.
